A screening at Hidden Door Festival 2016 curated by EAMIF’s Adam Castle and Julia Barbour.
Featuring films by
Drawing on Hidden Door’s overall theme of Electric City, the screening brings together artists’ films exploring urban development and gentrification, tourism, aspiration, alienation and pop culture. Each film drops us in a new landscape, slipping between digital and physical worlds. As we travel through, we are offered different understandings of how the individual relates to the space around them, and how visions of the city are presented to us.
Featuring artists based in Edinburgh, Glasgow, London and Amsterdam. A text written by Adam Castle and Julia Barbour will be available at the event and will be available online soon.
